Protests for Badami Bagh erupt across the UK

The BPCA is pleased to announce a series of 3 protests across the UK coordinated by the Pakistani Churches in the UK, in response to the recent attack on the Christian community of St Joseph's Town.

In excess of 200 homes, 8 businesses and 2 churches and a school were vandalised, looted and then razed to the ground in a horrendous, unprovoked attack on the Christian community living there on Saturday 9th March 2012.  The incident was sparked over a drunken row between Christian Sawam Masih and Muslim friend Shahid Imran.  After holding a grudge Shahid Imran conspired with a friend to lay false blasphemy charges and reported it to the local Imam, who called for the mob to attack the innocent Christian community.

The victims are still homeless and destitute, having lost all their worldly possessions and and currently living under inadequate tents.
