Dildar referred to by us as dil dare!
That said, it was with great pleasure that I met with a Mr Dildar Hayat Khan at my offices yesterday. At the ripe old age of 72 he is still fit and strong enough to run half marathons. This would be a tall order for many of us, let alone a man in his advanced years. Mr Khan advised me of a charity run he is undertaking on the 7th August 2011, to raise money for underprivileged children in Pakistan. The event will take place on Hackney Marshes (coincidentally opposite the 2012 Olympic Stadium) Money raised will support a tailoring apprenticeship scheme for young Christian adults in Sialkot, Pakistan.
Mr Khan a Pakistani Christian originating from Youngsonabad (near Faisalabad) has always been an athlete. In his youth he won a 100m sprint in his county race, that saw him presented with his medal from none other than Samuel Burke - a Christian ambassador for Pakistan to America and the UK, who originated from the same town.
Mr Khan came to the UK in 1964 and took up a post as a Charge Nurse responsible for an operating theatre at Guys Hospital, London. He is also one of the founding members' of "All Nations Church", an Urdu fellowship pentecostal movement congregation based in Manor Park London.

The BPCA will be donating £20.00 towards his sponsored run as his purpose is one we felt was not epicurean, moreover, based on a passion for his community.
